Fundraising Campaigns

Thanks to many caring donors across Saskatchewan, the RUH Foundation was able to allocate $2.5 million to the Saskatoon Health Region in spring 2011 for the purchase of 104 state-of-the-art vital sign monitors for adult and child acute care units at RUH.

"Royal Vital Care reinforces how much we value our staff and want to give them the tools to provide the best care they can for our patients at RUH.

The new monitors provide a huge amount of data which we analyze in order to determine our course of action. That helps us do a better job at the bedside." ~ Dr. Susan Shaw, Head of Adult Acute Care at RUH.

A Grateful Family Gives in Thanks

The children of Bill Cey of Wilkie, Saskatchewan, supported the Royal Vital Care Campaign by making a family donation in gratitude for the care their father received in the Intensive Care Unit at RUH. Read their story.

PotashCorp supported the campaign with a gift of $1 million. In appreciation, the postpartum unit at RUH was renamed the PotashCorp Maternal and Newborn Care Unit. A new mural at the entrance to the unit was unveiled in April 2011. Read the news release.

At RUH Foundation, we create excellence in health care by raising funds that anticipate and respond to needs for innovative research, education and patient care at Royal University Hospital.
