Lorna Callbeck is doing her best to keep up with two active teenagers, but a heart rhythm disorder has put her on the sidelines. At two years old, she was rushed to Royal University Hospital in cardiac arrest. At ten, she returned to RUH for corrective heart surgery. She will need another heart surgery one day.

There is a medical treatment for her condition but, unfortunately, it is not yet available in Saskatchewan. Lorna could travel to another province for Cardiac EP treatment but has opted to stay close to home in the hope this procedure will be available at RUH soon.

"I want to be treated here near the people who know me and with the cardiology team at RUH that has been treating me with love and kindness since I was born," says Lorna.

Please support the Every Heart Matters Campaign so that people like Lorna can be treated close to their homes and families here in Saskatchewan. Call the RUH Foundation at 306-655-1984 or donate online

Ruth Harker left the province for treatment of her heart rhythm disorder. She is not alone. Until we establish a Cardiac EP Lab at RUH, patients like Ruth will continue to travel elsewhere for this life-saving treatment. Read more of Ruth's story.

Dan Lewans was lucky. His heart rhythm disorder was cured by an EP Cardiologist at RUH. However, many patients with Dan's condition must leave the province for treatment. Read more of Dan's story
