CHERISHED DONORS: Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation

The Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation has given from the heart for the heart. Its gift of $1.5 million for Cardiac Electrophysiology will help prolong and save lives across Saskatchewan. In honour of this gift, the new facility at RUH is named the Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation Electrophysiology Laboratory. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

What's cardiac electrophysiology?

Cardiac EP is an advanced sub specialty of cardiology that treats abnormal rhythms of the heart which cause sudden fatal heart attacks. Abnormal heart rhythms can strike at any age, with little or no warning. Two physicians at RUH, Dr. Carlo Stuglin and Dr. Kelly Coverett, are skilled in this procedure however, due to space constraints, many of their patients had to leave the province for treatment elsewhere.

The Kinsmen Foundation is pleased to work with RUH Foundation to bring this gift to Saskatchewan’s cardiac patients. No longer will they need to seek treatment out of province – or worse, go untreated. ~ Jake Porter, Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation Chair.
